- What kind of equipment and supplies does he/she use?
- How many avian does the vet take care of?
- Does the vet have experienced staff to help?

You need to take time to find the right avian vet for your bird so you can establish a friendly and long lasting relationship. This way, it will even be easy for the vet to make house calls and he/she may not charge you more for that. Asking the vet questions about his/her experience, training and services is an easy way to know whether you should hire him or not.
